Designer | 2022-2023
I joined EMILYs List, a fundraising organization for Democratic women running for office, as a designer in 2022 and became the Deputy Creative Director in 2024. During my time there I created social graphics, fundraising emails, and merch designs. I worked on social strategy, coming up with concepts for campaigns. I designed staging and materials for events. I managed a team of designers and interns. I collaborated with printers and outside partners, as well as those in higher positions in the organization. I traveled to the DNC to help sell merch and make onsite graphics for our team.
Working there during the 2024 election, focusing on the Kamala campaign, meant fast paced and exciting work that I will always be proud of. Over my time there I helped raise hundreds of thousands of dollars and helped elect Democratic pro-choice women at all levels of government.
Social Media
From strategic fundraising campaigns, to endorsement announcements, to silly memes, I made over 1,000 social graphics in my time at EMILYs List. Our social work was often reactionary with tight timelines of two hours or less.
Email Fundraising
Our delightful and playful email designs helped raise tens of thousands of dollars a month. It was a space where we could look outside the box and have fun with different styles while staying within the brand guidelines.
Event Design
Each year the organization held countless events, the largest being We Are EMILY, the biggest fundraiser of the year. We designed staging, programs, invitations, photo moments, and merchandise for each event.
Merch Design
During my time at EMILYs List we released multiple merch collections. Our Kamala Harris line outperformed our merch fundraising goals by 5,000%. I redesigned the merch store in 2022, saving the organization the $45,000 quoted by an outside firm.
