In 2016 Emily’s List wanted to create a website that would showcase Donald Trump’s mistreatment of women. The project needed a brand and a website, and it needed to be done within 5 weeks.
A Glitch in the System
Taking inspiration from the reality TV background of Donald Trump, the branding centered around the bright colors and patterns of a glitching VHS tape.
A bold logo reminiscent of protest posters and modern typefaces rounded out the design for this impactful dystopian brand.
In the Wild
While the election did not end the way we wanted it to, the project spread like wild. From signs and stickers across the country to a feature on Hillary Clinton’s instagram to the background of Comedy Central’s Broad City.
