Halcyon came to us to design a brand for By the People, their free, city-wide arts festival. The flexible system showcases art and event information in print ads, a festival catalog, signage, and social media graphics.
Branding
The event branding revolved around a frame and a series of “doodles.” It was dynamic and could work across platforms and could help showcase the variety of art that could be found across the city.
Event Signs
Branding for the event could be found across DC, from Union Market to Georgetown to on the Smithsonian Arts and Industries building. Ads for it ran in the City Paper and the New Yorker.
Catalog Design
We created an exhibition catalog that was sold throughout the festival and that highlighted the incredible art that was on display.
